HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE?
The framework this question provided, shifted me. I moved from fatigue and resentment to wonder and gratitude. Wow, here I am in my cozy place, with a kitchen full of nutritious, organic and local food and I get to share that food with my incredibly caring husband. A smile spread across my face as I continued scrubbing those potatoes.
The holidays are a really easy time to get stuck in resentment. Things that should be fun can begin to feel like obligations, gift-giving can start to feel like keeping score, and we can end up feeling so harried that the season literally passes us by.
With this in mind, I want to take this opportunity to encourage everyone (myself included!!!) to do two things this holiday season:
1- Slow Down.......after all, what are we racing towards?
2- Ask yourself, How do I feel about what I have?
If your experience is anything like mine, posing this question allows you to get clear about the blessings in life, pretty quick.
I would LOVE to hear about what YOU are feeling grateful for this holiday season! If you feel like playing along, post how you feel about what you have ( aka what you're grateful for this holiday season) in the comments!
Wishing you and yours a blissful and bountiful holiday season!
